Last night was the opening night for Aladdin but tonight was Isaac's opening night as Abu. He did GREAT-he's definately my little star! Russ and I were so proud of how well he did, how he remembered all of his parts and stayed in character the whole time, his energy, everything. He never ceases to amaze me. Poor kid even got a bloody nose the last 5 minutes of the show but only Russ and I knew. He just kept tilting his head back and going on like nothing was happening. Once they did their final number and took their bows, Russ went up to him with a kleenex and the nose just started bleeding like crazy. Like his director said, "He's a true performer, he knows the show must go on!".
Tonight Grandpa Butch and Aunt Sandy came to watch and Katie and Elijah came too. Even Eli sat nicely through the whole thing and enjoyed it!

Unfortunately, due to licensing issues, we can't take pictures during the performance but afterwards the kids can do cast photos. A bunch of the young kids in the audience wanted pictures with Abu so Isaac was quite in demand and feeling like a movie star. He was loving every second of it! He also got quite a few pictures with some of his favorite cast members.

We just enjoy watching him perform so much and are in awe of his natural ability at barely 6 years old. His director told us how great she thinks he does and how she's shocked at the level of focus he has for a kid his age. Made me just swell with pride. But no matter what, he's always our STAR!
