Sleepy Time and Eli-isms

First, I just have some more cute things Eli says that I have to get down before I forget. Our current Eli-isms are "bee-yune" for balloon, "Mississleepy" for Mississippi, and taking a nap is "taking a bed". As in, "I'm not tired, I don't want to take a bed.".

Now for a cute Sammy story. Two night ago Sam and I were snuggled in bed, ready to go to sleep for the night. I whispered to him, "Sammy, you're my sweet little angel" which he answered with a smile. That smile made me giggle which made him smile bigger. The bigger smile made me giggle more which made him start to giggle. All of this done while he was sound asleep. : )

And my idea of a wonderful night....

Stinky Pants

Last night Sam had a dirty diaper and Elijah said he wanted to help change him.

First he got out the wipes. (that's about 40 of them if you can't tell)

Then he got tired of waiting for Russ to come help so he got started on his own. At least Sam was enjoying it!

When it came down to the dirty business, he was a little hesitant. He actually did give it a try though!

He refused to do anymore though, yelling "NO! Yuck!" when Russ offered him another wipe. He was okay with helping to put the new diaper on though.

He's such a great helper!

He really does love Sam a lot and always wants to help him. A couple of days ago Sammy was laying on his play mat and Elijah thought he could use to be a little more comfortable so he put a pillow under his head and snuggled him in a blanket.

Making Popcorn

So a bit ago I taught Isaac how to make microwave popcorn. Pretty easy considering we have a "popcorn" button on our microwave. I cautioned him that it was hot when it was done and to be careful taking it out.

A couple of days after learning how to do it, he decided he wanted to make some again for a snack for him and Elijah. He put it in, pushed to button, and waited for the popcorn to pop.
When the timer beeped he pulled the stool over, opened the door, and then just stood there. Elijah, trying to help, kept saying "It's done Isaac. It's done. Isaac?....It's done.". After seeing that he wasn't getting anywhere, he simply stood there and watched with Isaac.

After standing just like that for a couple of minutes, finally Isaac looks at Elijah and says, "How 'bout you take it out Eli.". Nothing like throwing your brother under the bus!
